  • Part of the multi-phased, 36-acre Highlander project.
  • The vision: to create a self-sufficient and self-supporting community with a curated and overlapping mix of business and organizations. 
  • 65,000 sf commercial building.
  • 250-person event hall, outdoor performance space and a park.

Innovations

  • Designed a purpose-built community with a variety of home ownership, rental and multigenerational options.
  • An innovative urban design model through its institutional/private sector partnerships.

  • Supports a “beehive” of activity centered on education, art, recreation, technology, commerce and social entrepreneurship.
  • Various organizations are housed within the building including
  • educational institutions, offices, an event space, a food hall, incubator spaces, and even aquaponics.
