Experience

Prior to co-founding Brinshore, Rich served with the City of Chicago and initiated the Chicago Abandoned Property Program (CAPP) for the City of Chicago. The program was designed to acquire and redevelop abandoned buildings, and it has fostered community development while revitalizing Chicago’s historical building stock. Rich also was Vice-President and Partner with a national residential housing developer, and he was a senior member of the firm’s development team.

Public Service

Rich serves on the Board of Advisors for Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC/Chicago), which promotes neighborhood development by supporting local organizations. He also serves as the Board Chairman for All Chicago, the lead agency for Chicago’s Continuum of Care, which supports initiatives to prevent homelessness. In addition, he is on the Board of the Rebuild Foundation, which promotes neighborhood revitalization through art and cultural place making.

Education

Rich is an attorney and holds a JD degree from Tulane University Law School. He also has a master’s degree in Real Estate from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Connecticut.
