As Brinshore’s Director of Public Relations and Community Impact, Miya transforms vision into action through strategic partnerships, purposeful storytelling, and community-focused events. Her work ensures Brinshore’s mission resonates with stakeholders and the broader public.
Miya brings extensive experience in media and marketing. At Weigel Broadcasting Co. in Chicago, she managed marketing for CW26 and The U, overseeing press and publicity, advertising sponsorships, talent appearances, and event activations. Prior to that, she served as Marketing Coordinator for FOX 5 Atlanta, the local affiliate for FOX Television Stations in Atlanta, Georgia, where she managed promotional sponsorships, community affairs and hosted the station’s community segment, FOX 5 Helping Hands.
Her background also includes healthcare marketing for a nonprofit system, further demonstrating her ability to align brand strategy with community impact. Across every role, Miya has focused on building meaningful connections and elevating organizational presence through thoughtful engagement.
Education
Miya has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Information Sciences with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Alabama.
