As Associate Vice President – Controller, Catherine supports Brinshore’s accounting and financial reporting functions.  She works closely with the development, finance, asset management and executive teams to strengthen reporting, coordinate audits and tax matters, and ensure the financial details behind each project are accurate, timely and well supported.

Catherine brings extensive experience in accounting and real estate finance, with a focus on affordable housing, multifamily development, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit transactions.  Before joining Brinshore, she served as Controller for a multifamily and mixed-use developer overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, cash management, construction draws, lender and investor reporting, audits and tax matters, and project-level financial analysis.

Earlier in her career, Catherine managed development finance and portfolio responsibilities for an affordable housing development company, with work spanning from due diligence, development closings, construction, stabilization and monitoring ongoing projects’ operations. She began her career in public accounting, where she gained industry experience across the real estate, construction, and manufacturing sectors.  Her background gives her a practical understanding of both the technical accounting requirements and the day-to-day collaboration needed to move projects forward.

Education

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Loyola University Chicago and is a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst.
